"We'll Meet Again" is a 1939 song popularized by the late singer Vera Lynn during World War II. On top of appearing in dozens of films and television series, the song also appears in the series finale episode "Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back The Falls" of the Disney animated series Gravity Falls, where Bill Cipher sings it to a captured Stanford Pines.
The Gravity Falls version was performed by Bill Cipher's voice actor and series creator Alex Hirsch.
Lyrics
Lets say goodbye with a smile dear,
Just for a while dear,
We must part.
Don't let this parting upset you,
I'll not forget you,
Sweetheart.
We'll meet again,
Don't know where,
Don't know when,
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day.
Keep smiling through,
Just like you always do,
'Till the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away.
And i will just say "Hello",
To the folks that you know,
Tell them you won't be long.
They'll be happy to know,
That as I saw you go,
You were singing this song.
We'll meet again,
Don't know where,
Don't know when,
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day.
And i will just say "Hello",
To the folks that you know,
Tell them you won't be long.
They'll be happy to know,
That as I saw you go,
You were singing this song.
We'll meet again,
Don't know where,
Don't know when,
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day.
We'll meet again,
Don't know where,
Don't know when,
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day.
