"Things Are Not What They Appear " is a song from the 1998 Disney animated direct-to-video sequel film Pocahontas II: Journey to the New World . It features Governor John Ratcliffe and his jester minions as they manipulate King James into believing that Pocahontas' people are savages who are untrustworthy.
It was performed by Ratcliffe's voice actor, the late David Ogden Stiers and the jesters' voice actors, Craig Copeland, Phil Proctor and Roger Freeland.
