Monstro the Whale

"Monstro the Whale" is a song related to the 1940 Disney film Pinocchio based on the titular whale. The song was never intended to appear on the film but it was an "exploitation song", made to promote the movie along with other songs, each one based on a character. However the song's melody can be heard when Pinocchio goes to find Monstro at the bottom of the sea.

The original version was presumably performed by a chorus, but it seems to have been lost now. However two other versions remain: one performed by the late Kay Kyser along with a chorus and Gus Wickie acting as Monstro and another one by the late Ron Marshall and the late Connie Zimet.
