"Midnight, The Stars And You" is a 1934 song written by Harry M. Woods and performed by Ray Noble And His Orchestra and an uncredited Al Bowlly as the vocal, appearing on the album of the same name.
The song was prominently featured in the 1980 horror film The Shining. It was first used in the The Gold Room of the Overlook Hotel, which introduces Jack Torrance to Lloyd the Bartender and Delbert Grady as they manipulate him to kill his family; then later during the enigmatic ending that states that Jack Torrance was "always the caretaker" of the Overlook Hotel; it also appears during the credits of the film's 2019 sequel Doctor Sleep.
Midnight with the stars and you
Midnight and a rendezvous
Your eyes held a message tender
Saying "I surrender all my love to you"
Midnight brought us sweet romance
I know all my whole life through
I'll be remembering you
Whatever else I do
Midnight with the stars and you
