i don't have similar patterns Omar1963 kept changing Hammerhead to main antagonist of the game while I corrected his iniquities how do I have similar patterns he didn't even touch Kingpin's page I did and I edited other stuff he didn't all he did was Spider-Man the reason I kept touching Kingpin's page it's because I found it pretty hard to believe that he is a major antagonist that's why I kept asking people about it to explain then I believed but some other people don't believe he's a major antagonist so I got confused so I kept edit spam so Valkerone could give me the answer since he never seems to answer my questions so I was only doing that to get his attention so he can give me the answer and since the page got blocked I regret doing this because I don't want to see that it got blocked in the history that's why I'm asking is it possible to delete old revisions from history also why did you block me from heroes wiki I didn't do anything wrong on that wiki?
I don't hate you but it does get aggravating and the reason blocked is simply due to you breaking rules and I am aware you were blocked on another account. Now constantly messaging me on this matter will be considered harassment.
Can you change Kingpin back to major antagonist please and Inner Demons back to secondary antagonistic faction and the Sinister Six back to main antagonistic faction please and also is it possible to delete old revisions?
So I wanted to get your opinion on something. On this wiki, we have a rule that the song can't just be dark; it has to be villainous. I was wondering, do songs like My Demons or Animal I Have Become violate this rule? If you listen to the songs, they never go into the singers doing anything evil or illegal, they're just "dark" and "tortured". What do you think?
Unfortunately I don't think they necessarily belong: My Demons (at least yo me) came across just a man mentioning he was struggling to be good but don't know of any music video or confirmation on what the protagonist has done that's wrong plus just struggling is normal. Animal I Have Become: I can see it arguably if only because the music video implied a darker personality which may of wanted to hurt or did hurt someone and seemingly caused vandalism but kind of up in the air if just a nightmare or if it actually happened. I think we at least indication of crimes to count be it song or the music video so with Animal I Have Become I am honestly not quite sure if only because of the video but My Demons sounds just like a normal individual struggling.
The other one I wanted to ask you about is This Life Is Mine. I debated with myself for a while over whether it counted or not, since it's from Weiss' perspective and addressed to her father. I decided to add it, but I still had second thoughts and have now gone back to debating it when I realized that "I Burn", one of the main hero themes, is addressed to Junior. What do you think? I feel like if the song is more about the villain than the hero singing it than it would count, but where do you draw the line? Is "This Life IS Mine" about Weiss or her father?
That's a difficult one, I personally lean towards keeping "This Life IS Mine" as it primarily focuses on Weiss confronting her father over the abuse while "I Burn" focused on Yang more bragging about being a badass. One song I was debating on was "Armed and Ready" for similar reasons as it focused a lot on Yang planning her revenge on Adam but haven't reached a conclusion yet for similar reasons. Definitely a very thin line given the perspective but one that I think is a case by case. If the subject matter primarily is focused on or to the villain I think it could be here.
I thought about "Armed and Ready" too, but didn't think it had enough to do with Adam and is more a reflection of "I Burn": Yang learning to be strong again. Nevermore was another one I decided to add, as it is from Yang and Blake's perspectives, but is clearly about Adam.
True, I can see the "Armed and Ready" and how instead "Nevermore" fits better. Definitely hard to say on some like "This Life Is Mine" because it does have several verses refer to her father but then a lot focus on her personal growth. I also have a question: Do songs that are used to retell actual criminals count and if so do they go under fan songs or would you prefer to leave those out? Either way is fine as it was something I debated on.
"Dick Turpin, Highwayman" from Horrible Histories, "Mr. Albert Fish (Was Children Your Favorite Dish?)" and "The Iceman" by Macabre. With Macabre I am have doubts as not only are a lot of if not all the songs based off actual killer but involve some real life details in methods, however Horrible Histories generally went over it in less graphic detail / summaries and more comedic pattern (acting wise) while not exactly sugar coating it in a nature to appeal to children's curiosity.
I think both of could work. The only time I think we restrict "real-life villains" is if the song is BY a real-life villain (I expanded on this in the rules). If it is by an artist explaining the villainous actions of a real-life criminal, I think it's fine.
I was also wondering something else: recently (especially on TV Tropes), we've had an influx of CMs/PEs from music (I proposed a few myself). I was wondering if you think the song Splatter Party has enough information in the lyrics alone to warrant a proposal for the protagonist, since its admittedly pretty vague.
Okay, another thing, this time not song related: I don't know when or how I would do it, but I want to try going for an admin rank on Villains. The main reasoning is just so I can block trolls/vandals (which seem to pop up a LOT when I'm online), rename pages, and do announcements. I really don't care about the authority (it doesn't interest me), I just want to be able to protect and fix things. I've managed to earn enough trust from the current admins to be a content mod (despite my... unlikable personality), but hat would I do to earn enough trust to maybe work my way up to admin? I just hate having to ask you guys for help renaming pages and blocking trolls.
I actually enjoy your personality and have no problem helping you out with those things, as for the promotion I wish I could as you are ond of the very few I'd promote but I don't think we have the openings yet. That said and I could be wrong but I think the the content mod position is basically a test run to see how people would act with a position of power over a period of time. Hopefully that is the case to where you'll eventually be promoted but I don't get on Discord enough to be certain.
I wanted to ask, should we mark fan songs of mature content as mature as well, even if they themselves don't have any mature content? Like "The Rake" is an instrumental musical piece by Lucas King, but it's based on a Creepypasta villain.
Well we should be able to fix it by simply using the poem format and a single space when separating after each full verse and for the varying words I we can use the same coding for the different sizes shown like in All Things Must Die. It might take a little while to get used to but I'll try my best to help when/or however I can if familiar with it.
he's finally revealed his true colors, please ban him from this wiki - keep the thread up (but closed) because Staff will need it, the irony is he acts just like Genius now and tries to bully me when it wasn't even me who originally banned him, I gave him a second chance, so now you and everyone else can see what he truly is.
came here after the report from b1b's wall and this is amusing isn't it? Oghta trying to be a big bully-boy when I'm the one who banned his sorry ass in the first place because I knew damn well he'd do crap like this, the pattern is too perfect, the temper is too volatile, the manipulation too blatant.. I knew from the start this was a problem user and they've proven it.
kind of disappointed how you guys let personal feelings get in the way of banning this guy, considering how many red alarms he gave off from the beginning.
Howdy Nerd, I remember it vaguely but not in great detail to be honest. I mainly remember how during part of it Valkerone and Magma gave details like him only being antagonistic about 15 minutes and only even then when having his life threatened which made me and Austin being more hesitant.
I've just been a bit concerned recently, because Magma has been deleting pages he doesn't agree with without the deletion template/talk page routine, and has recently taken to locking any discussions/message wall conversations that question his reasoning. I know the wiki isn't a democracy, but does that seem a bit unfair?
A few where deleted I think due them existing once before but I can understand the concern. I think recently part of it was due to a discussion to cut some Internet ones that where either basically no real plot and or wouldn't likely fall under actual parody laws. I think some might need more clear discussion if deemed controversial on their standing before deletion if it comes to that.
Those weren't really the ones I was concerned about, it was ones like the Disney Beast, the Ice Age Diego, and the like that he deleted without discussion. My biggest fear is him locking/ending all conversations about subjects he doesn't like; I saw one where a user asked Beholder what happened to a page, and Magma locked it telling him "enough". That's what worries me; that users can't even express a dislike or question something without being stopped and punished.
With Diego of what I understand there seemed to be a discussion on Discord between some admins since he claims Love Robin and Queen Misery didn't think Diego counted. As for that fear I can see why it might come across that way but apparently a user was telling Beholder of something that lead to a minor disagreement, probably it's due to a couple users starting drama/controversy since normally Magma seems reasonable. Beast was definitely a impulsive move but I remember plenty complaining on Discord about him and others likely downplaying what he did or just refusing to see him as a villain due to biased thinking. Hopefully things calm down and everything can go back where these fears fade.
Yeah, apparently he just had Queen Misery ban the guy who asked him about his reasoning.
While I have you, could you restore the "Truth" page on Villains? It was deleted for him "just being a jerk", even though he commits murder and multiple mutilations (granted, there is reason behind these acts).
If it's the user I'm thinking of it wa less the questioning and more the attitude and then asking that Queen Misery be blocked for not giving in to what he wanted. Then he asked me again on the Heroes Wiki leading to Queen Misery increasing it for continuing drama.
I'll do it this time because I don't find him that debatable but if it happens again I will say it needs to brought to Discussions to controversy.
So when I was making a page for The Plagues from The Prince of Egypt, I came across another song entitled "The Plagues" from an obscure religious theater company called Sight and Sound's production "Moses". I heard a bit from the preview on iTunes and heard that it was a group number featuring Rameses and thought to add it. However, there exists ABSOLUTELY NO videos of this song ANYWHERE on the internet, and previews on platforms like iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play only play a section of the song, so the full lyrics are unknown. Despite all this, it is still a villain song and I'd like to include it, but what should I do if I can't even put the full lyrics and there exist NO videos anywhere?
I can see adding it provided it's clear a full song will be released though that begs the question: do we allow upcoming songs? It's something we never discussed but we hear parts of songs from RWBY but occasionally the name turns out different and incomplete until the soundtrack release. There's also a song like "Inside of Every Demon is a Rainbow" from Hazbin Hotel where the hero sings about redeeming villains (including killers) but the show won't be released until sometime next month: .
Though speaking of RWBY songs, the song where Neo fights Cinder is obviously going to go here, and the episode has technically been released as well as the song. Should it go here, and then be updated when the full version becomes available or should we wait until the Volume 6 soundtrack comes out?
Hey I don't know if you are interested in helping out but apparently AlexHoskins created a sister site for this that will focus around the heroes. He also seems to want help and while I tried to make a counterpart to our info box it didn't turn out great. Here's the site:[] and if you want I can probably promote you to an admin if you want and it helps you get that wiki started with me.
I wanted to ask another question. So we've recently had Song From SCP-3838 and the Scarlet King's Poem added here; would they qualify as songs? They're more poems than anything; there is no way to listen to the song and they come from printed media, so there really isn't any "song" other than them being poems.
So I'm thinking of adding a song from the Death Note Musical eventually but got a dilemma. Apparently the English version is heavily changed lyric wise with no apparent English translation to fit the original so should I just put the English version or put it with Japanese lyrics as well? Just confused given the English is the only video I know of and compared the Death Note to a hurricane nonstop yet the original apparently makes no comparison yet no direct translation.
Okay, so I did some digging, and I found this Tumblr blog where the user translated all the songs from the musical. When you make the page, do these tabs in the lyrics section: Japanese, English Translation, English Version, and Korean. Then just specify in the "other Appearances" section that the English version of the musical featured the song, but with completely rewritten lyrics.
Awesome! Thanks man I truly appreciate it. Given we go by the English name I'll probably put it under the English name while making it clear the complete rewrite. That or "Death Note / Hurricane" just to cover both.
I just checked but I all I see is "Standard layout" and "Blank page". Granted it's using my phone but I have a song I might add later so if another option ahowa on the laptop I'll let you know, unless of course what you mean is "Standard" at which point I sound like an idiot lol.
