"Haben Sie Gehort Das Deutsche Band?" ("Have you Heard the German Band?") is a song from the musical The Producers and its 2005 film adaptation, both adaptations/remakes of the 1967 film of the same name. It features Franz Liebkind, a neo-Nazi, when he hears a poor version of the song being performed during an audition for the role of Hitler in the stage musical "Springtime for Hitler". Frustrated, Franz himself shows all the people auditioning how to perform the song and inadvertently gets the part.

Lyrics

Haben sie gehort das Deutsche Band?
With a bang
With a boom
With a bing-bang bing-bang boom
Aah, haben sie gehort das Deutsche Band?
With a bang
With a boom
With a bing-bang bing-bang boom
Russian folksongs and French oo-la-la
Can't compare with a German oom-pah-pah!

Ve're sayin'...
Haben sie gehort das Deutsche Band?
With a zetz, with a zap, with a zing...
Polish polkas, they're stupid und they're rotten
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that
Schweigen-reigen-schone-schutzen-schmutzen sauerbraten!

Key change!

Ve're sayin'...
Haben sie gehort das Deutsche Band?
With a zetz, with a zap, with a zing...
It's ze only kind of music
Zat ve huns und our honeys
Love to sing!

[That's our Hitler!]
