Hey everyone! With December right around the corner, I'm pleased to announce the creation of the Villain Song Wiki Advent Calendar! On top of the Song of the Month, every day a new Christmas-themed song will be revealed on this special page, counting down until December 25! Additionally, each song will be specially featured on the Main Page! So check out the link below, and count down to Christmas with the Villain Song Wiki!

Hello all,
First of all, Happy Spooktober to you all! The wiki's got a new look, so enjoy the month!
Second, you may have noticed that the wiki has been migrated over to the awful UCP format. This will take some getting used to, Information about it can be found here. Now, there are issues that I know come with UCP: images and videos take longer to upload and now require "Descriptions" and other tedious stuff, and there may be a chance that videos in infoboxes will be glitched for a while. If you have issues, feel free to reply to this thread and let me know about them; I may be able to help OR make a formal complaint to FANDOM staff.
Thank you all and happy haunting!
Hello all,
Recently, the Real-Life Villains Wiki was closed (I don't know why, but it doesn't matter). So for songs about real-life villains (that follow our rules), don't link to Real-Life Villains Wiki anymore, just link to Wikipedia. Additionally, if you see a page with one of these broken links, it would be massively helpful if you could replace it.
Thanks and keep up the good work.

Do you think that Mettaton singing "Oh! One true love" is considered a villain song? Let me know.
Recently, the page "Hitler's Suicide Note" was removed by FANDOM staff for its lyrics being considered inappropriate. When I made an appeal it was rejected, as the spam filter caught phrases that did not comply with FANOM TOS, and simply marking the page as mature or putting a disclaimer was not enough.
Additionally, a new issue arose from that: apparently, since we are a song wiki, all the lyrics we provide are subject to copyright claims. As such, the entire wiki may be deleted if we get any copyright claims. FANDOM staff also reported to me that account bans are a high probability if copyright claims become common or if the wiki continues to be an issue for them.
As such, some new rules will have to be put in place, ones that are detrimental to the wiki, but will ensure it stays up:
*All songs added must comply with FANDOM TOS. Even though, as villain songs, the lyrics are meant to be seen as evil and bad, they must comply with TOS. Just adding a Mature template is no longer enough; the song's lyrics must be able to pass the spam filter.
*We will continue to add lyrics sections to songs, but if a DMCA takedown is issued, the page is to be deleted and blacklisted.
*If we get too many DMCA takedown notices, then the Wiki will have to be terminated, either by me or by FANDOM Staff.
All users should now be under the assumption that our wiki is under surveillance now, so I expect to see conduct and behavior that complies with FANDOM TOS. If you attempt to create a page and the spam filter flags any part of the page, do NOT attempt an appeal, just do not make the page.
On a completely different note, I also request that users also work on improving the quality of pages, both during creation and editing. Please follow the designated templates and styles, and note changes made to pages you create such that you can apply them o the next pages you create. I am currently going alphabetically through all 1,188 pages on the wiki for cleanup, expansion, and housekeeping (I'm somewhere in the "I"s at the moment), so please help by making your pages as top quality as possible (correct spacing, spelling, formatting, etc.)
Thank you.
Good news: We just hit 1000 pages! Good job, everyone!
Can we have a new navigation templates for the Simpsons?
Hey everyone.
So as you may know, in theatrical productions/stage musicals, there are often different casts and performers depending on where the show is held. As such, it's tough to try and list all of the performers in the Infobox, and up until now, we've just been listing the most notable ones. Now we're going to be trying out a new system, where we will add a table under the header "Performers" and link to it in the infobox. It might sound confusing, but please go look at the "The Phantom of the Opera" page to get an idea of what I'm talking about. We're going to try and merge this table into theatrical pages, so we can give proper credit. If you have any questions, feel free to reply to this message or message me directly.
Thanks!
Hello everyone,
I have good news! I've recently set up a sysytem that, when you go to create a new page, a link will appear at the top of the page that will say: to create a page in the correct format, click the link below", followed by the words "Click here!". PLEASE click the link, as it will automatically upload the correct format that this wiki uses onto the page! No more copy/pasting required!
Have fun!
Hello Villain Song Wiki,
Recently there has been an abundance of poorly written articles (For the purposes of this rule, "poor quality" will be defined as one-line/blank articles, articles in need of rewriting due to an excess of problems, or plagiarism). However, despite templates being put on these pages to ensure quality, the users have ignored them and continued to make pages not befitting of our quality standards. Therefore, a new quality rule is being put in place to ensure that pages are up to our standards and that cleanup/rewrite/expansion templates do not continue to be ignored.
Quality is important on this wiki, so it is important that, when making a page, as much effort into its presentation and quality is put in as possible. However, if a user continues to make poor quality pages while ignoring rewrite/expansion templates, that user will be issued a warning. After repeated offenses, the user will be banned and labeled as a vandal.
Hello all,
Recently I have edited the template for the Villain Song Infobox used on every page, removing the underscores from the code and replacing them with spaces. Because of this, many of the infoboxes will be messed up for a bit while I work on fixing all 382+ of them. This announcement is just to inform you that nothing is wrong, and to use the new code (no underscores) when editing/creating a page from now on. If anyone would like to assist in the renovation, you are more than welcome to help out; every little bit helps!
Thanks.
If a song does not appear on iTunes, Spotify, or Loudr, but you still think it is well-known or stands out enough to have a page on this wiki, make the suggestions here.
When suggesting, include:
*The name of the song
*The artist
*A link to where the video of the song can be found
This tool will also be used if there is a cover or remix of the song that does not appear on the aforementioned sites, but you still think should be considered for inclusion.
Rules of this thread:
*Admins (and/or specially selected users) are the only ones that are to vote yes or no on a suggestion.
*Only one suggestion will be considered at a time.
*No links to inappropriate content or media outside of the one described.
*No off-topic conversations or subjects. This thread is for song/remix/cover inclusion suggestions ONLY.
*Voters can abstain, but can only vote once; yes or no.
